Words from a Soldier...

We've never posted a thank-you letter from a client before, but this particular one we thought we'd share with you. It's from one our country's soldiers, a husband, a father and the recipient of our OpLove shoot for Aspen and the Girls.

I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking the time to do this for my family. The pictures are AWESOME! From myself and all the troops out here with me, thank you for your support of our great Soldiers serving. God bless you.

Receiving his thanks truly touched our hearts and we're so glad our photos touched his! Offering our Operation: Love ReUnited sessions are the least we can do to thank our troops! Adam and I hope that more photographers get involved with this great organization.

Operation: Love ReUnited ~ Shelly & the Kids

There's no better time than today, 9/11, to post this family session. As you might know, we're a member of Operation: Love ReUnited, offering complimentary sessions to deployed soldiers and their families. Today, not only do we want to thank Shelly's husband and all of the other soldiers serving our country, but we also want to honor all of the victims who passed on 9/11 eight years ago, those who lost their loved ones and all of the heros who helped us recover.

I had so much fun photographing Shelly and her adorable children! There's such a sweet dynamic between the four of them... and so much energy! Here are a few of my favorite photos from their session at South Shore Park in Milwaukee's Bay View...







Jadon is an inquisitive and sociable boy. We had some good conversations about cameras and robots at the shoot! Here he is with his soldier impression...







Such a cute family!











Isabelle LOVED the swing and had the cutest baby laugh!





Jayce is a bundle of energy and so entertaining. A couple of times he walked right up to my camera with his face just inches from the lens with a huge smile on his face :)



Shelly's husband has been deployed since February, and I can't wait for him to receive his photos overseas!!!

Operation: Love ReUnited ~ Aspen, Madison & Sydney

Last week I had the best time photographing Aspen and her two girls, Madison and Sydney... little girls with big personalities.

We donated this session to the family through our involvement with Operation: Love ReUnited, and will be sending a book of photos to her husband overseas (who has been deployed for the last year-and-a-half). Our way of saying "thank you" to the men and women who serve our country...

I can't take credit for this shot of Madison with the flag... it was her idea to hold it while standing on the rock :)



I love these photos of Sydney wearing her dad's boots. Seeing her try to walk in them was so cute and absolutely hilarious! :) I also got some shots of the three ladies, each wearing a different part of his uniform...

























Madison was quite the conversationalist, and so good in front of the camera! She was so sweet, too, when she asked me to come over and swim with her :)

Operation: Love ReUnited

Recently, we applied to be an Operation: Love ReUnited photographer to honor and thank our soldiers for giving their best to serve our country, in the way that we know best: capturing their love and memories with art.

We were so excited to receive our letter of acceptance this week as an official OpLove photographer. Reminisce will be donating our time to provide complimentary photography for our troops and their families... whether photographing the tender moments as our soldiers say goodbye to their loved ones when leaving on deployment, offering complimentary boudoir or family sessions while they're away, or preserving the elation of their return. Families will also receive a small album for the soldier to have as a keepsake while away, in addition to a product credit to spend as they wish.

"The Operation helps those long months go by a little faster. It's designed to capture moments that you will long remember and always treasure. It's art. It's love. It's all made possible by artists wanting to give something back to those who make the United States what it is, and ask for nothing in return – but for these men and women to come home."
