Words from a Soldier...

We've never posted a thank-you letter from a client before, but this particular one we thought we'd share with you. It's from one our country's soldiers, a husband, a father and the recipient of our OpLove shoot for Aspen and the Girls.

I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking the time to do this for my family. The pictures are AWESOME! From myself and all the troops out here with me, thank you for your support of our great Soldiers serving. God bless you.

Receiving his thanks truly touched our hearts and we're so glad our photos touched his! Offering our Operation: Love ReUnited sessions are the least we can do to thank our troops! Adam and I hope that more photographers get involved with this great organization.

Operation: Love ReUnited ~ Shelly & the Kids

There's no better time than today, 9/11, to post this family session. As you might know, we're a member of Operation: Love ReUnited, offering complimentary sessions to deployed soldiers and their families. Today, not only do we want to thank Shelly's husband and all of the other soldiers serving our country, but we also want to honor all of the victims who passed on 9/11 eight years ago, those who lost their loved ones and all of the heros who helped us recover.

I had so much fun photographing Shelly and her adorable children! There's such a sweet dynamic between the four of them... and so much energy! Here are a few of my favorite photos from their session at South Shore Park in Milwaukee's Bay View...







Jadon is an inquisitive and sociable boy. We had some good conversations about cameras and robots at the shoot! Here he is with his soldier impression...







Such a cute family!











Isabelle LOVED the swing and had the cutest baby laugh!





Jayce is a bundle of energy and so entertaining. A couple of times he walked right up to my camera with his face just inches from the lens with a huge smile on his face :)



Shelly's husband has been deployed since February, and I can't wait for him to receive his photos overseas!!!

Katie & Steve's Wedding ~ Osthoff Resort, Elkhart Lake

We recently had the pleasure of not only attending, but also photographing Adam's step-brother Steve and his beautiful bride Katie's wedding. They had a destination-like wedding at the gorgeous Osthoff Resort in Elkhart Lake, opting for a small, intimate ceremony and dinner. They couldn't have had a more beautiful day, with gorgeous temperatures, breezes and clouds. And did they ever pick the right day... the next day was cold and dreary!

When Katie's Maid of Honor saw Katie with her hair done, she started to cry. It was the sweetest thing :)

















The final step before the wedding! This is definitely one of my favorite getting-the-dress-on photos I've ever shot...

They had a colorful gerber daisy and button theme. Adam got this cute ring shot on their buttoned card box :)







Their own personal cake, and lots of delicious cupcakes for everyone else...



After dinner, everyone enjoyed listening to music, stuffing themselves with cupcakes, playing cards and talking the night away.











Congratulations, Katie and Steve! We couldn't be happier for the two of you, and we look forward to watching your marriage blossom! Hope you have a blast on your Vegas honeymoon!!! :D
