First off, Susie and Brian are marvelous friends of ours! I was so excited when Susie asked me to be a bridesmaid... and photographer :) So how on earth did we pull that one off? Well, it was a true collaborative effort. Adam shot the whole day through the first few dances, I shot some getting-ready coverage, their First Look, their bride and groom shots, key dances and toasts. Rachel of R. Buckley Photography shot some getting-ready coverage through cocktail hour, and our intern, Rachel, shot cocktail hour through dancing. Phew... that's a mouthful! :)
Susie & Brian had a vintage vibe to their wedding... Susie's look from hair to dress, their classic Camaro that they souped up themselves (is that the term? I know nothing about car lingo.), their classic car place cards, and their gorgeous ceremony location. The Old Courthouse Museum fed our creative souls :)
Here are some of our favorites from their day...
No rings were harmed (or lost) during the shooting of this photo :) Actually, there was a panel underneath the grate, so if they fell, Adam could retrieve them. And they didn't fall. Feel less nervous now?
Susie & Brian got the groomsmen awesome cufflinks to fit each of their personalities...
Instead of lighting a unity candle, Susie and Brian watered a plant together, with water from each of their mothers. Everyone was calling it their "Love Fern," like from the movie "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days."
I LOVE this photo I took of Susie... such a beautiful bride :)
Susie and Brian did the First Look, and Susie totally broke down in tears. It was the cutest thing :)
Here's a shot of me shooting in my bridesmaid's dress :) The photo I was taking is below this one...
Susie's dad did such a hilarious speech! When he did his toast to the bride and groom, he gave them toast :D He even carved their names into it.
Hey Ya! Wedding party dance...
Two of Susie's family friends were performing in the Wizard of Oz at Schauer that evening. The Wicked Witch and the Tin Man made an appearance at the reception when they were done :) Here's us with the Tin Man!
Congratulations, Susie & Brian! Love you guys :)
