Emily & Travis' Engagement Session | Milwaukee Wedding Photographer

Fun couple + rain... and lots of it = awesome shoot with Emily and Travis! Why should we let a little rain get in our way? Emily and Travis ignored what their friends and co-workers advised (to reschedule the session), and took a gamble on the rain. They went all-in, and it totally paid off with some dynamic shots.

And to clarify, this wasn’t just a little mist... it was full-on raining. Emily must have had some killer hairspray and bobby-pins, because she looked stunning all through the shoot (while I looked like a wet dog)!

Anyway, here are some of our favorite photos from their engagement session...

Hope you enjoyed your post-shoot pizza!

We had a blast at your session and can’t wait for your wedding! :)

Amanda & David's Engagement Session | Milwaukee Wedding Photographer

Amanda and David might look familiar... we recently posted photos of David proposing to her! We were really excited for their engagement session, not only because they're our friends, but because a lot of the locations hold meaning in their relationship. Here are some of our favorites from their shoot...

First, we stopped at Bullseye Records, one of the places they stopped at on their first date. Later in their relationship, Dave gave Amanda the record you see below, which he bought "for himself" on their first date :) Then, we hopped over to Comet Cafe...

Another place they went to on their first date was Alterra. After hanging out there for awhile on our shoot, we headed to the riverfront where they made an outfit change. Amanda wore a dress that used to be her grandma's. She made some awesome alterations to it, and looked adorable wearing it :)

Congratulations, again! We're SO excited for your wedding (on my birthday) next year! And Adam is so happy to be your best man :)

Ali & Tim's Wedding ~ Schlitz Audobon Nature Center | Milwaukee Wedding Photographer

Ali and Tim might look a bit familiar to you... not only is their engagement session on our website, but Ali also modeled for us at a shootout. We were SO looking forward to having them in front of our cameras again, this time on their wedding day!

Here are some of our favorite photos from their fall wedding...

Ali wrote a little to-do list for a groomsman to give to Tim before he left the house...

Their cat decided to help the groomsmen get ready :)

I got a couple bridal portraits of Ali at her parents' house before we left... isn't she gorgeous?!

We were almost ready to leave, when Ali's vows wouldn't print! No need to worry... I put my tech-support hat on and got them printed for her :)

First Look...

Ali's grandmother was very involved with Schlitz Audubon, and the nature center holds a special place of heart for Ali and her family. It was the perfect backdrop for their ceremony, reception and portraits...

The ring fingers can't be separated, symbolizing Ali and Tim being bound together for life as Husband and Wife...

The breaking of the glass!

Their rose petal exit... we love exits :)

Ali and Tim had such a sweet, choreographed first dance...

Hora!!!

Congratulations, Ali & Tim! Hope your marriage is just as smooth as your first dance!

We had such an awesome time photographing you both again :)

Michelle & Brian's Unbridaled Session | Milwaukee Trash-the-Dress Photographer

Adam and I were so excited for Michelle and Brian's Unbridaled Session! It's so much fun shooting brides and grooms during these sessions... not only do we not have to worry about getting dirty (but don't worry, we don't actually trash your dress), but we also get to shoot in some fun locations! The last one we photographed included locations like a church festival and Miller Park, and as you can see below, Michelle and Brian's took place at a construction site and a bowling alley :) The construction site has something to do with a very funny story from one of their first dates, and we stopped at a bowling alley because they're both on a league together! Definitely very different settings from their Villa Terrace wedding just over a year ago! You might also recognize Michelle and Brian from their adorable daughter's two-year photos :) Anyway, here are a few of our favorite photos from their session...

In between locations, we stopped to pick up an anniversary card for Brian's parents (happy anniversary!)... Brian and Adam and I thought it'd be hilarious if Michelle went in to get the card, but I was nice and went with her for support :) Of course I couldn't help but take a couple photos of her while we were in there! And the reactions of fellow customers were priceless!

Thanks for an awesome shoot... and delicious dinner afterwards!

Hugs,
Miranda & Adam

Mom, Dad, Drue & Everett | Milwaukee Family Photographer

Heather and Neil wanted to do their family session at Villa Terrace, where they got married 6 years ago. It was fun watching the kids' fascination with the windows, architecture and garden :) The shrubs in the courtyard were like a giant maze to them, and they had so much fun running through them nonstop! Here are some of my favorites from their session...

After Villa Terrace, we hopped over to Bradford Beach where the kids combed the sand, chased some seagulls and tried to skip some stones...

It was great seeing Heather again (she was a bridesmaid in Michelle & Brian's Wedding, who also got married at Villa Terrace, and whose Unbridaled Session will be posted soon!) and meeting her hubby and adorable kids :) Thanks for a fun shoot!

Sara & Paul's Wedding ~ Hubbard Park Lodge | Milwaukee Wedding Photographer

Sara and Paul's wedding was the perfect way to welcome Fall. They had the beginning of Fall colors, refreshingly crisp air and crunchy leaves on the ground. We just recently photographed their engagement session and were looking forward to their Big Day that we had heard so much about. Here are a few of our favorite photos from their day...

Paul and the guys wore custom Chuck Taylors, embroidered with Sara and Paul's wedding date...

They had fun fall centerpieces- flowers held by corn kernels in mason jars. Their favors were equally cute...

Paul and his brother shared a special (and hilarious) dance...

Adam had the idea of backlighting some fall leaves being thrown up behind them. We learned that I'm not a very good leaf-thrower... I definitely have to practice that, but we still managed to get a cool shot.

At the end of the night, Paul and Adam reenacted their famous bear hug from the engagement session :)

Congratulations, Sara & Paul! We had so much fun photographing your day! A beautiful ceremony, fun celebration and awesome couple...

Our new nephew, Evan! ~ Newborn Session

As you may have seen by recent Tweets or status updates, Adam and I have a new nephew!!! He’s such a lucky kid with amazing parents and the help and love of his two big sisters, Ava and Grace!

We posted some photos when he was just a bun in the oven, and below you can take a peek at this new little man, Evan...

Along with the belly-to-belly shot in their last session, another family tradition is a newborn photo with their dog, Brook.

Little Pumpkin! :)

Go Badgers!

My sis and her hubby call Evan their Little Monkey...

Even though sucking her thumb isn’t Grace’s best habit, it’s absolutely adorable :) Grace calls Evan “Baby Ev” and plops her toys on him to share (except Cuddly Bear).

Ava showers Evan with kisses and proudly shares stories about him...

Thanks so much for the handsome new addition to our family!

Lots of love!

Melissa & James' Engagement Session ~ East Side / Downtown Milwaukee

We had so much fun photographing Melissa and James’ engagement session! They’re such an adorable couple with a great sense of humor! We started off at Milwaukee bar BBC where they have years of memories together and then wandered around the East Side and RiverWalk. Here are some of our favorite photos from their session...

James wanted to do a photo where he was a lion super hero (or something like that... it evolved) and Melissa was scared... lol! Melissa questioningly obliged. We then decided that their wedding should be safari themed and thought of all the tacky ways we could make that possible :)

After lion and safari talking, we headed over to The Oriental Theater... and what do you know?! More lions! I think it’s a sign, Melissa ;) For the photogs reading this, the Oriental didn’t let us use flash because there were movies playing... gotta love the Nikon D700! Cranked that puppy up to ISO 4000 with virtually no grain (the two shots below)!

Ok, you can’t pass a giant engagement ring sculpture on an engagement shoot and NOT take a photo with it!

Thanks, guys, for an awesome shoot! It was nice seeing you at Ali and Tim’s wedding, and we can’t wait for yours, too! :)

Emily & Greg's Wedding ~ Schauer Arts & Activities Center, Hartford

Emily and Greg had such a fun fall-themed wedding! From hand-painted pumpkins, to pillow-like pumpkins created by Emily's mom, to the varying berry-colored heels of the bridesmaids, the details came together beautifully. They also had such a nice ceremony... personal, touching, thoughtful and prayerful with a wonderful selection of readings. Emily and Greg were very collaborative with their priest for the structure of their ceremony, adding their own unique elements like walking in during their processional together and each of them serving communion. Here are some of our favorite photos from their wedding...

Congratulations, Emily & Greg! It's so clear that the two of you are best friends... such a strong foundation for a happy marriage :)

Happy Anniversary Liz & Lance ~ Country Springs Hotel, Waukesha

Lance and Liz just made an appearance on our blog a couple weeks ago... with their new addition to their family, their son Max. Adam and I feel honored to have photographed another milestone in their lives: their wedding, one year ago today! Here are some of our favorites from their day...

Lance's brother officiated the ceremony, which was just the right combo of sentiment and laughter :)

They had the perfect fall day!

Feel free to take a peek at the finished product of their photos... their wedding album! It's so important to have a tangible keepsake for generations to come.

Congratulations on your one-year anniversary, Liz & Lance! It's so exciting to watch your lives change and grow :)

Reminisce: Professional Photographer Magazine

This isn't an accolade, per say, but exciting and fun nonetheless :) Collages.net who named one of our Unbridaled Sessions as Portrait Website of the Week last week, has given a little nod to our business (thanks!) by using my name in one of their ads in Professional Photographer Magazine. Take a peek!

Just wanted to share :)

Have a great day!

Ann & James' Wedding ~ Lake Geneva Riviera Ballroom

Ann and James are such an adorable couple! And Ann was SUCH a radiant bride. Their ceremony was officiated by James' dad at Linn Presbyterian Church in Lake Geneva. It was so personal and touching! We kept hearing guests talk at the reception about how much they enjoyed the ceremony...

After the ceremony, we hopped around downtown Lake Geneva for some wedding party and B+G formals. Their wedding party was so fun, friendly, and cooperative to work with! We made it to the reception right on time for cocktail hour :)

Anyhoo, here are some of our favorite photos from their wedding day...

Ann was taking a look at herself... IN her dress. That's such a surreal moment for brides :)

The ladies enjoyed a toast on the way to the ceremony...

We've seen the gorgeous flowers of Muscari quite a few times this wedding season! Always so lovely!

Such a sweet couple!

All of their guests enjoyed the atmosphere of their reception at Lake Geneva Riviera Ballroom. So scenic, and gorgeous weather...

We loved their fortune cookie favors!

Congratulations, Ann and James! A perfect wedding day for a perfect couple!
