We’re so happy we threw our Love Story Contest in honor of our anniversary! We had so much fun reading all the entries and were truly touched by each and every one of them :) Nothing better than real-life love stories.
It was a really tough decision, but we’ve selected our winners... and we have a tie! We honestly couldn’t decide between the two, so BOTH win! :)

Miranda and I always go on mini-vacations to Chicago, and the city holds a lot of great memories for us. We had an upcoming trip planned, and I wanted to propose there. I went ring shopping with Miranda’s mom and sister April, having April try on the rings because she’s Miranda’s hand twin. Well, as our trip got closer, Miranda started to suspect and on Christmas said something to her sister about it. April wanted to throw Miranda off, but really overcompensated, making Miranda cry. Guess she was a little too convincing!
Skipping ahead, Miranda and I were in Chicago seeing Wicked. I proposed after the play while we were walking out of the theater, on the corner. There was a saxophonist playing, theater lights twinkling, and everyone pouring out the the theater was congratulating us :)
A couple months ago, Miranda and I went on a little photo shoot with our friend Craig of Craig John Photography to capture our engagement memories from a few years prior. We went to the Knickerbocker where we stayed, the historic water tower where we always go to see their art exhibits, and of course Cadillac Palace Theater where I proposed. Here are a few of our favorites!
